COROMANDEL HOSPITAL.
PROPOSAL FOR LIGHTING. PAINTING CONTRACT LET. [BY TELEGRAM.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] COROMANDEL, Friday. A meeting of the Coromandel Hospital Board was presided over.by Mr. S. James. A further scheme for providing an electric lighting installation for the hospital, at a capital cost of £SOO, was considered. This would involve the use of water from the Coromandel domestic water supply. The Department of Health is to be approached on the matter. A requisition for furniture, amounting to about £l5O, was received from the medical superintendent. This will be considered later by a committee. The tender of Mr. R. V. Hawlev, at £345 4s, was accepted for painting the exterior and interior of the main building, the floors, and the roof. Mr. James was re-eiected chairman.
