WEDDINGS.

At St. Andrew's Church, Hamilton, the marriage was celebrated on Tuesday of Miss Sylvia McCoeaell, fourth daughter of Mr. William McConnell and the late Mrs. McConnell, of Orini, Taupiri, and Mr. George Kestle, youngest son of the late Mr. John Kestle, of England. The bride was given away by her father, and wore a frock of pleated ivory crepo de chine and georgette with & veil caught to the head with a circlet of pearls and orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of roses and chrysanthemums. The bridesmaids vrere Miss Emily McConnell and Miss Minnie Gibson. The former' wore a frock of figured cyclamen taffetas, and the latter a sunseit taffetas frock with headdresses of silver leaves and tulle bows to match their frocks. Thay carried bouquets to tone. Mr. W. Gibson attended as best man and Mr. Dynes McConnell was groomsman.

The marriage took place in St. Peter's Church, Takapuna, yesterday afternoon, of Miss Alice G. MacLaughlan, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. R. MacLaughlan, of Walton, to Mr. Albert Davey, second son of Mr. and the late Mrs, E. Davey, of Te Aroha.., Th? ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. G. Monckton. The bride, who was given away by Mr. T. Harris, wore a frock of ivorv embossed crepe de chine slightly bouffant at the hips and an embroidered veil held in place with a coronet of orange blossoms. She ca-ried a bouquet of palest pink and white flowers. The bridesmaids were her sisters, Miss Arabella K. MacLaughlan and Miss Jean MacLauglan, who wore frocks of blush rose and marigold crepe de chine. Daintily swathed caps finished wr;h embroidered rosettes formed their bead-dresses and they carried bouauets to tone with their frocks. Little Thelma Smith was train-bearer and wore a frock of white frilled georgette. Mr. H. Davey attended his brother as best man and the groomsman was Mr. Arthur Andrews, of St. Heliers Bay.

Tho wedding was solemnised at Christ Church. Papakura, on Tuesday afternoon, April 24, of Gwendolen, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schmitt, and grand-daughter of the late Professor Carl Schmitt, of Auckland, to Harry, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. .Tames Mack, of Edinburch. Scotland. The Rev. Wood performed the ceremony and Mm. Archdale Taylor played the weddinc: music. The bride ; who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a frock of ivory georgette over satin. ' The bodice was cut on simple lines, with a shoulder knot of silver ribbon and orange blossom, the full skirt being finished with a deep hem of silver lace. Her tulle veil was held in place with a cap edged with orange blossom and silver lace, and she carried a shower bouquet of pink" and white roses and white chrysanthemums. The bridesmaids wero Miss Daisy Edwards and Miss Joyce O'Halloran. who were gowned in apricot and mauve taffefa respectively, both frocks being trimmed with panels of silver and gold lace. They wore felt hats to tone, and each carried a shower bouquet to match. Mr. Huon Buisson supported the bridegroom as best man.
