The Marlborough Rsein? Club's meeting 'ma.B concluded to-day. The King's Cup, won by Limerick, was otl view on the course. R. Reed kept up his record of not "being further back than second, riding ■three firsts and three seconds in the Taces in which he was engaged. His record for •the meeting was seven firstu and six seconds out of 13 mount*, paying 12 dividends. . This must bo a record for the Dominion. For the Second Hurdles Polyphemus was backed as if the :race was oveT, but he failed badly over the last furlong. Vexatious and Lady Puasenger made the running for nine furlongs, from Modern and Panorama, with Polyphemus last. Polyphemuii then made his run as on the first day. He actually led Vexatious and Lady Passenger at the last fence, but did not jump too well, and Vexatious beat him easily in the run in. Vexatious gave rather a pleasing performance. In the Flasburne Handicap Oratrix was favourite, but at a reasonable price compared with that of the first day. Reed rode lier out of the barrier with Beausnont. She showed the way down the back from Joy Bird. Vesperus, Lady Gay, and Twink. Kilmiws moved up at the turn, Tnit at the false rail Oratrix settled BeauTnont, and. being kept going, she beat Beaumont by a length and a-half. VesJicrus was half a length awny third, with Joy Bird, Kilmiss and Lady Gay next at tho end. Tho winner outclassed the field.

In the Blenheim Handicap Catkin and Jvilperon Tyero both better backed than Royal Ceres. Miss Pat began smartest arid led on to the course proper, from Dobbin and Catkin. Itoyal Ceres made his effort opposite the false rail and, finishing on ■well, got up to beat Catkin by a head. 'Miss Put was half a length away third. Itoyal Ceres finished well and Catkin was far from disgraced. The Farewell Handicap saw Helotis beat Single:>pear for favouritism, with Eka and Quantum best backed of the others. Helotis, Xiittlei Queen, Mark Mint and Singlespear showed out first, and Helotis opened up a break on the course proper, from Eka, Mark Mint, Little Queen, Singlespear and Quantum. Helotis hold on in the straight, to win full of running. (WHITE WINGS PROTEST. OBJECTION DISMISSED. At a special meeting of the Auckland Pacing Club Committee yesterday, the objection lodged by G. A. Reid. owner of Z>ucy Rose, against Mr. W. Scholium's White Wings being awarded first prize money in the Onslow Stakes otn the grounds ihat White Wings was not trained under the personal superintendence of the owner in accordance •with rule 3, part XX., was considered, and it was decided to dismiss the protest.
