REFORM CANDIDATES.
Sir, —Either Mrs. A. Russell does not understand my questions, or she has evaded giving a definite answer. Perhaps f was not too clear with my questions so, >to be fair to the lady, will ask them again. Will Miss Melville submit her name to the selection committee and abide by the decision of the majority, or, if unsuccessful, .will she continue to go to the poll with her vote-splitting tactics and give the seat to Labour, as she did in Eden (now Suburbs) by-election? Surely Mrs. Russell can give an answer saying, "Miss Melville will abide by the committee's decision" or she will not. Roskill is anxiously waiting for her answer, which we hope will be now forthcoming. ■ Miss Melville assisted to frame the constitution and knows the procedure, and she knows' perfectly well that it is absolutely impossible to "square" delegates to the conference. She got a "square deal" in Eden, but being an unsuccessful candidate she complains of hot having a "fair run.'"" Refokmejj. ~ "
