STABBING INCIDENT.
MODIFICATION OF CHARGE. ACCUSED SENT FOR TRIAL. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, Monday. A charge arising out of the stabbing affray at Milton on April 15 was preferred against William Hassett, labourer, aged 28, in the Milton Police Court to-day. The attempted murder charge was withdrawn, and accused was charged with wounding Charles Arthur Lloyd -with intent to do grievous bodily harm. After a lengthy hearing of evidence, accused was committed to the Supreme Court at Dunedin for trial.
