ONEHUNGA ORPHANS' CLUB.
THE ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The annual meeting of the Onehunga Orphans Club was held on Thursday evening, the retiring president. Mr. E. V. Sutherland, presiding. Tho repoi-t stated the membership had increased from 158 to 177. There was a credit balance of £l2 for the year, and a total surplus of assets over liabilities amounting to £298. The following officers were elected:— Patron. Sir Frederic Lang, M.L.C.; president, Mr. R. Buchanan; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. G. Houldsworth, E. G. Speight. E. Morton, E. Marks, L. Bray, and L. Humphries: committee, Messrs. A. Brain, (i. H. Bray S. Brown, C. F. Milnes, J. K. Ross, W. Vaughan, T. J. Wat hew, R. H. Wilson: stewards, Messrs. H. Berridge, G. Cmghton, P. Guppv, A. Jeffs, A. J. Hipweli W. Levering, W. Tegg and W. Wilkinson; conductor, Mr. J. G. Lighton; assistant conductor, Mr. L. Ellison; programme steward, Mr. A. G. Houldsworth .auditor, Mr. T. S. Bassett; treasurer, Mr. Kirk Jones; secretary, Mr. C. A. Osborne.
