In the Rotorua golf tournament, the final iu the championship was played be- | tween Miss Upham, of Mirimar, WellingI ton, and Miss M. Pnyton, of Rotorua. In the opening plav, Miss Upham was the better, but then Miss Pnyton struck form, and at the 11th hole the match was all square. At the 13t.h Miss Upham was one up. The game was very keen at this stage. At the 16th hole Miss Upham won by 3 up and 2 to play. The winner was lust year's champion. Mrs. Hall presented the various prizes. The following is the draw for the toursomes on Saturday Miss Snodgrass and Mrs. Mclsaacs play Misses Hurrell and Moore: Misses Mcllardie and Campbell play Misses Allen and Anderson. The annual general meeting of the Te Puke Golf Club was held last evening, Mr Hookey presiding oyer a fair attendance oi' members. The 1927-28 yachting season in Auckland will be officially closed to-day*, when cruising and harbour races will be held. All events will start off King's Wharf, the first race commencing at 2.20, and the others following at intervals of eight minutes.
