ALLEGED THIEF'S GAY LIFE.

The magistrate has committed Emile Seberac to prison to await trial on a charge of stealing a necklace of pearls worth £50,000, which he allegedly took while the necklace was in the course of post between London and Paris. Hie pearls were recovered. The magistrate said the necklace was not worth 15 sous to tho thief, -because the pearls were well known to all tho dealers.

The police allege that Seberac, who is a sorter, led a double life. They say lie devoted his spare .timo to Stock Exchange speculations, and bought presents for women friends. He hired motor-cars and incurred heavy debts.
