AMERICAN PRESIDENCY.
SUPPORT OF "DRY" FACTIONS
POSITION OF MR. W. E. BORAH
A. and'N.Z. NEW YORK. March 8. The many discussions on the prohibition question and its place in the policies of the parties for the coming presidential election are rendering predictions at present difficult to accept. Mr. Oswald Villard, editor of the 'New York Nation, a friend of Mr. W. E. Borah, says in the current issue of bis paper: "In the event of the 'dry' factions in both parties Mr. Borah will become their Presidential candidate. Should Mr. Borah speak out, about the Republican Party, as did the late Mr. Roosevelt in 1912, he would make his nomination on the third ticket inevitable."
