PERSEVERANCE FOR 20 YEARS.

A. and N.Z. BERLIN, March 8. A poor teacher of Baden, who had bought ft lottery ticket kept the fact secret from his wife, from fear of being " henpecked " for his rashness. He won £25,000 in a State lottery. For 20 years the teacher had taken an eighth share in a ticket, but this year he was tempted to plunge. There was a sensation when 'the result was announced as it is rare for an individual to win the whole prize on a single ticket. •
