CRIMES OF THE MAFIA.
ARREST OF 300 MEMBERS. MEASURES OF SUPPRESSION. Sun. ROME, March 8. Signor Mori, whom the Prime Minister, Signor Mussolini, sent to Sicily to stamp out the Mafia, has now extended his activities to the provinces, of Girgenti and Caltanisetta, where 500 carbineers are concentrated. They have arrested 300 members of the Mafia, who are suspected cf 489 major crimes, including 62 murders. Their leader was found to be a prominent and respected citizen.
