AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE. THE WEEK'S TRANSACTIONS. A half-holiday was observed on the Auckland Stock Exchango yesterday owing to the visit of the Australian cricketers, and only tivo calls were made, The banking section again commanded attention. New South Wales, which have firmed steadily during the week, changed hands at £47 10s, an advance of 2s 6d on Thursday's price. New Zealands also recovered to soil at 59s 3d, the price paid earlier in the week, after selling at 59s on Thursday.™*ln insurance Now Zealands were done at 40s 9d at both calls, thus sustaining current values. South -British also changed hands at 58s 3d, the ruling rate. Offers for Standards were advanced Is to 635, but no holders were revealed. - The other markets were virtually lifeless, except that in coal Renowns had sale at the current price of 13s.
