Walburga. Lady Paget, has written another book of reminiscences, which she thinks of palling " The Luungs of Lite. " Plains of Abraham," an historical storv of Quebec, by James Oliver Curwoo'd, tlie American writer, will shortly appear with Iloddcr and Stoughton. Two now books on Hardy are Patrick Bravbrooke's " Thomas Hardy and His Philosophv " (Daniel) and lalks With Thomas Hardy " (Duckworth) by Vere Collins.
" The Middlesex Book of Verse," which appears in the spring list of the University of London Press, consists of poems by students of the Middlesex Education Committee's secondary schools.
Philip Guedalla proposes to follow up his "Palmerston" by the publication of a series of volumes under the title " Ihe Palmerston Papers." The first one will be " Gladstone and Palmerston."
Captain Liddell Hart, military correspondent of the Daily Telegraph, has written "Reputations: Ten Years After." Joffre, Falkenhayn, Haig, Gallieni, Foch, Ludendorff, Pershing and Allenby are among the reputations analysed.
