MOUNT ALBERT COUNCIL.
NOMINATIONS FOR VACANCY.
The following nominations have been received for the vacancy in D Ward of the Mount Albert Borough Council caused by .the resignation of Mr. R. J. Allingham: — Messrs. H. L. Kayes, M. R. O'Callaghan and James Purtell. All three candidates reside in the Mount Albert district. Mr. O'Callaghan is a member of the local Ratepayers' Association, and has taken a keen interest in public affairs. Mr. Purtell, a Labour nominee, is well known in Labour and industrial circles, while Mr. Kayes is a prominent business man in the borough. The election will take place on March 20.
