OBITUARY.
THE ABBE LEMAIRE. (Received March S, 5.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z.-Sun. PARIS. March 7. The death has occurred at Hazebrouck, in the Department of the Nord, of the Abbe Lcmaire. He was Mayor of the town named, and was one of the first priests to be elected to the Chamber of Deputies. The abbe was the author of a book entitled "Ireland in Australia," also of many articles on Roman Catholicism in Australia.
JAPANESE PRINCESS. (Received March 8, 7.53 p.m.) , A. and N.Z.-Sun. TOKIO, March 7. The illness of Princess Sachiko Hisa, the younger daughter of the Emperor Hiroiiito, terminated fatally to-day.
