AFGHANISTAN REFORMS.
EDUCATIONAL- PROGRAMME.
A. and N.Z. DELHI. March 7. Far-reaching reforms in Afghanistan will be commenced with the advent of the Afghan new year (March 21). These include the establishment of the French metric system to replace the ancient system of the country, and a college on French lines with a staff of French professors. The French language is to be compulsory iu the public schools.
