CLAY-BIRD SHCOTING.
EVENT AT TAUMARUNUI, [BV TELEGRAPH. —OWN COimESPONIIENT. ] TAITM AR U N UI. Thursday. A successful clay bird shoot was held under the auspices of the Taumarunui Hod and Gun Club yesterday, when the chief event was the shoot-off for the Richards Cup. This was won by E. Lightfoot. Following are the results:— Sweepstake Handicap, 7 birds.—R. Harris, 11yds, and W. Hughes, 17yds, equal. Both obtained a possible. Richards Cup, Handicap and Sweepstake, 14 birds.—K. Kell'and, 10yds., H. Pawson, 14yds., and E. Lightfoot, 10yds., tied with 13 birds each, and divided the money, in the shoot-off for the cup E. Lightfoot won on the second bird. Gimcraok Handicap, 7 birds.—E. Ligjitfoot, J. Richards, and R. Harris tied with six kills. The shoot-off resulted: Harris, 1; Richards, 2. Sweepstake Handicap, 5 birds.—A. J. Richards, 10yds., possible, 1; K. Keiland, 11yds., 2.
