Public notice is hereby given that at a. Special Meeting of the Howick Town Board, convened for the purpose, and held on TUESDAY, the 21st day of February. 1928, a resolution intended to operate as a Special Order was passed and will be submitted for confirmation at a Meeting of the Board to be held at the Board's Office at Howick on TUESDAY, the 20th day of March. 1928, at 8 p.m. By the said resolution the Town Board passed a By-law, to be known as By-law Number 2. 1928, as additional to Part 2 of By-law Number 1, respecting Enildingß, dividing the Town District into inner and outer areas. The inner area shall comprise all that portion of the Town District having a frontago to Picton Street and lying between the intersection of Picton Street with Ridge Road and the intersection of Picton Street with Church Street, and shall extend for a distance of fifty (50) feet back from the northern and southern boundaries of Picton Street, situated between the said points of intersection, and the outer area shall comprise ail the remaining part of lhß district. Sections 8 to 12 of the new By-law impose further restrictions with respect to Buildings within the inner area. The general effect of the restrictions is that: No person shall erect, alter, add to, renew or repair the externa! walls, party walls or chimneys of any buildinp: (used or intended to be used for purpose of any business) or of any dwelling nouse. with combustible material, except as in the said By-law provided. The By-law does not apply to dwelling houses erected twenty-five (25) feet back from the Picton Street frontage Existing external and party walls of wood or iron may be repaired of same materials, but only inner or outer lining may be rerepaired with combustible material. Internal walls or partitions of buildings other than dwelling houses must be of noncombustible materials, but partitions in business premises, other than hotels and public houses may. with special permission, be of wood or wood and glass. A copy of the proposed Special- Order and By-law is deposited at the Office of the Howick Town Board, Howick. where the same will be open for inspection by the public during office hours until the confirming meeting is held.
