RUGBY FOOTBALL.
MARIST OLD BOYS' CLUB.
Mr. O'Connor presided over a larje nt- ' tendance at the annual meeting of the Marist Old Boys' Rugby Football Club. The death of Brother Coluinbamis was referred to by the chairman. members standing as a mark of respect. The aiyiual report showed the past season was a successful one. The sixth grade won the championship, and the junior grades of the club won the handsome Southland Shield. Congratulations were extended to S. Haaley on his attaining All Black honours, his selection being enthusiastically received by members. The balance-sheet proved the club to be in a sound financial position. Members expressed Treasure in having Brother CaHstus in Auckland again, his election as conch and selector of the senior team being received with enthusiasm. Thirty new members were elected, and ! prospects for the coming season point to the club being strongly represented in all Trades. Officers were elected as President. Mr. T.
