AUCKLAND ACCIDENTS.

DIVER'S HEAD WOUND. STRUCK BOTTOM OF BATH. A number of accidents which occurred on Saturday resulted in the admission of tho victims to the Auckland Hospital. Through striking his head on tho bottom when diving in the Shelly Beach baths in the afternoon, Wilfred John Hassan, aged 18, of Beaconsfield Street, Grey Lynn, received a severe wOund on the forehead, necessitating bis removal to hospital.

While climbing a pole at tho Albany Show, Mr. Arthur Roy Nelson, aged 42, of .Sulphur Beach, Northcote, fell and sustained a compound fracture of the left ankle. He was conveyed to Auckland and admitted to hospital, where art operation was performed in the evening. He is reported to bo making satisfactory progress. A severe cut on the chin was sustained by Miss Doris Allen, of Paerata, an employee of John Court, Limited, as n result, of. being knocked down by a taxi-cab in Queen Street shortly after noon on Saturday. After receiving medical attention she was taken to hospital. Her condition is not serious. Mr. Malcolm McLeoa, aged 28, a seaman, residing at 24, Nelson Street, City, was admitted to hospital suffering from a fracture of tho jaw, tho result of an accident. ' Head injuries resulting from a mishap on Saturday afternoon necessitated the admission to hospital of Mrs. Ivy Isabel Williamson, aged 27, of Queen Street, Birkenhead. Her condition is not regarded as serious.
