THE MANUKAU CLUB. EVENTS FOR SATURDAY. The Mauukau Yacht and Motor-Boat Club will give a week-end outing to th« Ponsonby Cruising Club on Saturday, in tiie form of a special cruising race to Cornwallis. There will be a party of about 20 from the Ponsonby Club, who will go down in yachts and launches. The course is as follows:—Yachts and launches start between the end of wharf and Mangere Church steeple, thence between Mangere Beacon and black buoy, thence between red and black buoy oS Horn, thence channel side of Soldier Buoy oS Blockhouse Bay, thence between halfway beacon and two black buoys, thence channel side of Soldiej: Buoy off Shag Point, finishing between Soldier Buoy oil Cornwallis and Mr. Moore's cottajte on beach. The times for flying starts for yachts and launches are at 2.45 and three o'clock respectively on Saturday afternoon. The stall which the Yacht Club is using to raise funds for the express purpose of purchasing several boats of the Cornwell Cup one-design class wag well patronised last Friday evening, and a regatta for this style of boat will be held on February 11 on the Manukau Harbour, together with open yacht and speed-boat championships, dominations for open yacht and speedboat championships close on February 4. TAURANGA CLUBS EVENTS. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] TAURANGA, Wednesday. Four races were held to-day under the auspices of the Tauramga Yacht and PowerBoat Club. Results were;— First-class yachts: Janet, 1; Vanity, 2, Second-class yachts: No Surrender, 1; Charm, 2: Speedwell, 3. Seven-footers; Vestal, 1; Whippet, 2; Dottrell. 3. Launch race: Helen C., 1; Rewa, 2; Venus. 3. NORTHCOTE - BIRKENHEAD. REGATTA ARRANGEMENTS. The annual Northcote and Biikenhead regatta is to be held on Saturday, February 25. This date has been allotted by the Auckland Yacht and Motor Boat Association. At a meeting last evening preliminary arrangements were made for the fixture, and a general committee was appointed.
