REVISED PRAYER BOOK.
POSITION OF THE CHURCH. VIEW OF EARL BEXUCHAMP. (Received January 31, 8 5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. . LONDON. Jan. 31. Earl Beauchamp, a former Governor of New South Wales, who is one of the Ecclesiastical Commissioners, in a speech at Rugby, said that, if the new Prayer Book were again rejected the question of the disestablishment of the Church would become urgent. Personally ho had no objection to the new book. Ho had seen so much of the strength of the Church in the self-governing Dominions that he felt that such a step might oven increase her strength in England.
