FARM MANAGER INJURED.
BLADE FLIES OFF ENGINE FAN ONE ARM AMPUTATED. " ) [BY TELEGRAPH. —PBESS ASSOCIATION.] . TE KUITI, Tuesday. Mr. F. Workman, manager of the Whakaroa Estate, was operating an engine on the farm on Saturday when he received injuries to his right arm, which necessitated its amputation. Mr. Workman was working the engine, •which had been recently installed, when one of the blades of the fan flew off, striking his arm just above the elbow and cutting right through to (lie bone. He was taKcn to the Waikato Hospital, Hamilton, yesterday morning. His condition is fairly satisfactory.
