REPORTS QF MANAGERS, New Waiotahi.—The drive hillward .For the "VVaiotahi-Cambria reef has been iwi- ■ vanced 9ft. for i.he week, making tb«i tqt.il length of the crosscut 264t't., arid leaving 36ft. to reach tho estimated position of the reef. The country rock is milder and lighter in colour. Lucky Shot.—The crosscut from the boltom of the wiuze sunk on No. 2 reel has been advanced 10ft. for the week, makiUii a total of 33ft. The country rock la becoming firmer, and is of a very favourable description. Several small stringers of quart/ were cut through during the week, running at right angles to the drive. The winae <»n the of main reef and dropper has been sunk 4ft. for the week, making x total of 40ft. The country rock continues to oe good, and the reef carries good values. The country rock on both walls is etill of a splendid clasa, being interlaced with quartz stringers and mineral veins. 1. have also washed ore from the rise on the main reef at the seaward end. Colours and dabs of gold were seen. Kuranui.—The crosscut from the surface has been extended 14ft. for the week, making a total of 117 ft. from the starting point. We are still penetrating the same class ef country in this crosscut, with no quartz snowing yet. The drive oil the leader in the footwall of the main reef has been extended a furthei; 7ft. for the week, which makes a total of 127 ft. from the crosscut. The lender has turned, and seems to be going Jilong with the cross-reef mentioned m the last report. The quart* broken from this reef looks, very promising, and shows a lot of: blende and ailjea, and. should make gold at any breaking down. Aiburnia.—Driving was resumed on the dropper, the distance driven for the week being 12ft., making a total of 42ft. from the crosscut.
