MOTOR RACING.
THE MUftIWA! MEETING. COMPETITORS FROM AUSTRALIA. The Waitemata County Council is attending to several bad patches in the road to Muriwai Beach this week, and the surface .should be satisfactory for the heavy triffic to the motor races on Saturday. An Australian competitor, Mr. R. Taylo,*, arrived yesterday with an eightcylinder Bugatti. A Mercer car also arrived from Sydney. This has beeu entered for the New Zealand Cup. The same car won the cup race in 1024 at a speed of 79 miles an hour. The fourcylinder Bugatti, which was to be driven by Mr. A." East, did not arrive from Sydney yesterday, as unexpected mechanical trouble developed.
