FIRE ON STEAMER.
OUTBREAK AT SOLOMONS. FLAMES RAGING FIERCELY. (Received January 7, 12.5 a.m.) A. and N.Z. SYDNEY, Jan. 6. Advices from the Solomon Islands state that a serious fire is raging in the Norwegian steamer Yarra, which is loading copra at Gizo. No details are available. The Yarra is a steel screw steamer of 5076 tons and was built in 1910.
