FIGHT OVER THREEPENCE.
ITALIAN BADLY INJURED.
Late on the night of Sunday, December 11, an Italian arrived at Darwin, Northern Australia, by special train from Pine Creek suffering from a broken jaw and a broken leg. He had been playing cards for drinks, when a dispute arose about the ownership of a stray threepennypiece. A fight followed, and the. Italian received a blow which fractured his jaw, and in falling his leg twisted and fractured.
Eye-witnesses naively describe the affray as a, fair fight."
