FRENCHI FOREIGN LEGION

WELSHMAN LEAVES FOR HOME.

(British Official Wireless.) (Received December 30, 7.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. RUGBY, Dec. 29. The Welshman, John Harvey, whose sentence of imprisonment for desertion from the French Foreign Legion was recently remitted by the French Government, was formally released from the Legion to-day. He had been excused from serving the remainder of his term of enlistment in tho Legion. Harvey left at once for Cardiff, where his home is.
