GREY-GOWNED PHANTOM.
The excitement which prevailed at Kew about a year ago at the announcement that a house in The Green had been found to be haunted, wa3 renewed a few weeks ago. Two "ghosts" were originally described, those of a man and a woman of small stature. Last week the little woman is said to have appeared to the mother-in-law of the present occupier, who, when descending the staircase, met a little old lady in a dull grey gown. She called out, " Who is this coming upstairs ? " There was no reply, and while she stood shaking and breathless the woman disappeared.
