RURAL MAIL CONTRACTS.
hamiltom-taupo service. CHANGES IN THE WAIKATO, [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] HAMILTON, Thursday. Numerous changes have been made in the rural mail' contracts from Hamilton to various outlying districts. With one exception all the Contracts have changed hands. The Hamilton-Rototuna rural delivery has been extended six miles to include Horsham Downs and Winter s Road. No difference has been made in the times of departure from Hamilton. A new mail contract has been arranged between Hamilton and Taupo. A car service leaves Taupo carrying mail at 7 a.m. and connects with the north-bound Rotorua express at Putaniru at 10.30 a.m. The service leaves Putaruru after the arrival of the south-bound Rotorua express at 3.45 p.m. and arrives at Taupo at 7 p.m. This service will run daily from November 1 to April 30, and thrice daily from May 1 to October 31.
