YOUNG MAN'S FALL.
ACCIDENT AT LUNA PARK.
SEVERE INJURIES RECEIVED
Severe injuries were sustained by Mr. Michael Liddington, aged 22, a visitor to Auckland, through falling off the scenic railway at Luna Park last evening.
Accompanied by friends, Mr. Liddington was seated at the rear of the train. As the conveyance was gliding up an incline he fell but and rolled down the permanent way. He was conveyed to the Auckland Hospital suffering from a fracture of the jaw, a compound fracture of tho right shoulder, a dislocation of one elbow and a severe iicalp wound. Ho underwent an operation soon after admis" sion and later was reported to be in a serious condition.
Mr. Liddington-, who is employed as a millhand, resides at Puketitiri, Hawke's Bay. He was in Auckland for the holidays.
