In the matter of "The Electric-Power Boards Act, 1925," " 'ihe Local Bodies Loans Act. 1920," "The Local Government Loans Board Act. 1026," and Amendments and Regulations made thereunder respectively, notice is hereby given that the Franklin Electric-Power Board proposes to raise a special loan. The purpose for which the loan is required is for the supply and distribution of electric energy for the benefit of the constituent district of A* 1 n i ? ■ County " within the E ranklin ElectricPower District and for such purpose to do all or any of ouch matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by " The Electric-Power Boards Act, 1925, and its Amendments and in particular, but without limiting in any way any of the aforesaid powers, to provide, . erect and construct a system of electrical distribution and reticulation, to purchase plant, land, easements, general equipment and any existing electrical installations and plants, to erect generating stations, buildings and offices, within or without such district as hereinafter defined, and to make provision for financial assistance to consumers, and for trading purposes as provided by the said Act. The sum proposed to be borrowed is £31,820 to be raised pursuant to the consent of the Local Government Loans Board in the manner following:— a. Twenty-two thousand three hundred and twenty pounds (£22,320). in such instalments as may be required. b. Twelve thousand five hundred pounds (.£12.500). only after resubmission to the Local Government Loans Board and with their approval. The proposed security for the loan is a special rate of five-eighths of one penny in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property in the constituent district_ of Part Raglan County (being the Ridings of Onewhero. Pukekawa and Port Waikato within the Raglan County), as the same is defined in New Zealand Gazette No 51. of the 28th July. 1027, Page 2522. It is proposed that the loan shall be repayable within a period not exceeding Thirty-six and one-half years and to make provision for a sinking fund of not less than One per centum per annum. It is proposed to pay out of the loan the preliminary expenses incurred in connection with the scheme for which the loan is to bo raised, also the cost of raising the loan and the interest for the first year.
