SENTENCE OF IMPRISOi IMENT.

Sentence of two months imprisonment was imposed in the 7 Police Court yesterday on John O'Brien, aged 50, who appeared on a charge of being idle and disorderly. It was stated accused lived by begging from intoxicated men. He had 34 previous convictions. A list of 142 previous convictions was produced when William Williams, aged 67, was charged with being drunk and using obscene language. Charged with forging a cheque for £l6 on the Bank of New South Wales at Napier, Charles Leslie Green, aged 34, was remanded to appear at Napier on January 5.
