PIANOFORTE RECITAL.
A most successful pianoforte recital was given by Miss Gladys Searell .at the Remuera Library on Wednesday evening. Her programme, which was much appreciated, included the following numbers: —" Whims,' Humoreski and Novelette No. 7 (Schumann), Chromatic Fantasie and Fugue (Bach), Nocturne No. 13 and Fantasie Impromptu (Chopin), La Cathedrale Englontie (Debussy), Spindrift (Dorothy Howell). She was ably assisted by Mr. Edward Churchhouse, whoso beautiful baritone voice was much appreciated. Miss Searell wore a charming frock of white embossed velvet on georgette. During the evening she was the recipient of many beautiful bouquets,
