Police reports were favourable in respect of the provision of adequate fire escapes at the now Central Hotel, Cambridge, and tho application by William Jury for a permanent transfer of his licence to Adolphus Montgomery was approved. All other hotels in the Waikato electorate were reported by the police to be conducted satisfactorily, and the Bench expressed its pleasure at this fact.
