FAT STOCK MARKET.

WEEKLY WESTFIELD SALE. LAMB VALUES MAINTAINED. BACON PIGS IN DEMAND. Heavier supplies of beef at the weekly Westfield stock sale yesterday resulted in a slight easing of values from last week's level. Extra choice ox continued to make up to 32s per 1001b., and prime cow and heifer beef met with a ready sale. Good quality sheep were penned in larger numbers. Bidding was steady, but prices generally showed a slight decline on last week's values, especially for plain ewes. An average offering of lambs met with spirited competition and values were very firm at late rates. There was a heavy yarding of calves. Good runners sold well, but prices for vealers had a tendency to ease. There was little or no demand for rough sorts.

Pigs were again yarded in sair numbers, and values wore on a level with late quotations, with a keener demand for heavy baconers. Stores sold readily.
