Mr and Mrs. F. Brooke-Taylor are visiting Christchurch. Miss Stone has left for the South, where she will spend a two-months' holiday. Mrs.- Michaels, who has been visiting Christchurch, has returned to Auckland. I Miss S. J. Willis sailed by tho Ruapehu on Saturday on a visit to England. Miss Winnifrecl George has returned to Auckland from a visit to Hawera and Hamilton. Mrs. J. Bloomfield and Miss S. Bloomfield returned by the Athenic from a visit to England. Mrs. Hunnibe! and Miss Hunnibel, ot Christchurch, who have been on a visit to Russell, are staying at tho Hotel Cargen. Miss Vera Ziman is leaving on Friday by the Ulimaroa on a visit to Australia and Palestine, where she will devote some time to the Zionist Society. Mrs. M. Caselberg, of Masterton, is staying in Auckland and will leave on Friday by the Ulimaroa on a visit to England and the Continent. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur F. T. Munro, of Omarama, North Otago, and their niece. Miss Esther Rankin, of St. Andrew's marise, New Lynn, have returned from an extended trip to Europe. Miss E- Z. Shibington, Mrs. G, J. Hogge, Mrs. M. Wrigley, Miss J. A. Moore, Sussex, England, Mrs. T. Neilsen and Misses G. and M. Neilsen, Hull, England, are among the guests staying at the Hotel Stonehurst. The annual meeting of the Epsom W.C.T.U. was held on Thursday, 24th inst., in the Baptist schoolroom, Inverness Avenue. Mrs. Neal presided over a fair attendance of members. Good progress has been made in all departments during the year, and interest in. the meetings sustained. After the election of officers for the ensuing year afternoon tea was handed round and music and social intercourse brought a very pleasant meeting to a close. Two delightful afternoons were given last week at the residence of Mrs. Atwood, Froxfield, Takapuna, for the junior and senior lady members of the Pupuke Golf Club. On Tuesday the junior members were entertained at a golf croquet match, which was won by Mrs. R. McBride, and a golf clock competition, which was won by Miss B. O'Neill. On Wednesday the senior members indulged in similar games and competitions, when Miss O'Neill was the winner. Miss Leetch, of the Zenana Bible and Medical Mission, has completed a six months' deputation tour in the Dominion, and has visited most of the centres where interest in the Zenana Mission has been established. Among the million and aquarter people of Jaunpur the mission has established Zenana work, which includes visiting and teaching the secluded women, and the establishment of dav schools for Hindu and M6hammedan girls, as well as a hospital and a women s and children s home. A charming afternoon was given by Mrs. J. A. Collins at her residence. Roselea Road, Mangere East, on Saturday to Miss Joyce Tayler, who is shortly to*be married to Mr. H. C. Luscombe, of King's College. The opportunity was taken of presenting Miss Tayler with a handsome brass tea tray from the masters' wives and matrons. The presentation \vas made by Mrs. Archdall, the wife of the headmaster. Among those present were: Mrs. Archdale Tayler, Mesdames Robertson, Revell, Tills, Delph, Sister Goodall, Misses Morris, Hill, Hope-Johnstone, Laws, Youngson, Wallace.
