INCIPIENT FIRE.

OUTBREAK IN PARLIAMENT. [by telegraph—special correspondent} WELLINGTON, Monday. While the House of Representatives was discussing the Insurance Bill to-night, an outbreak of fire occurred in the room in the wooden wing of Parliament House, occupied by ill'. W, D. Lysnar (Gisborne). The fire was discovered at 9.45 p.m. by a telegraph messenger, G. M. Parkehouse, who immediately summoned one of Bellamy's waiters. With the aid of a hose that is installed in the adjoining corridor the flames were extinguished before any serious damage was done. The fire, the origin of which is unknown, was confined practically to a writing desk.
