CONCERT AT WAIHEKE.
A successful concert was held in the Ostend Hall, W'aiheke, on Saturday evening in aid of the school piano fund. There was an attendance of 200. The major part of the programme was contributed by the school children, who performed several well-arranged dances and marches in fancy costume, under the direction of Miss Macdonald, the schoolmistress. Musical items were given during the evening by Miss Laura Walker, Miss Thora Garrett, and solo dances by the Misses Kerr. A dance was held after the concert. Half the amount required for the fund is already in hand.
