HIGHER EDUCATION.
CHILDREN IN SHEFFIELD. LABOUR COUNCIL'S POLICY. (Received November '2O, 5.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. LONDON, Nov. 19. Tlio Sheffield City Council, which is controlled by a majority of Labour members, has adopted a new curriculum for children from 11 to 15 years old, with a view 'to improving education in the elementary schools. The new curriculum is nearly up to the matriculation standard and includes mathematics, modern languages, science and literature.
