—— —- FIGURES FOR THE WORLD. FEWER MEMBERS IN BRITAIN. (deceived November 19, 5.5 p.in.) A. and N.Z. LONDON. Nov 19. Official figures issued by the Ministry of Labour show there was a decline in the membership of trades unions in Britain for 1926, of 289,000 compared with 1925. The principal decreases were in the unions covering the mining and transport industries. The International Labour Bureau at Geneva has* complete statistics showing that there are 57,000,000 trades union members in tho world.
