FIRM CLOSES WORKS.
THE EMPLOYEES PAID OFF. SYDNEY MOTOR BUSINESS. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY, Nov. 19. The directors of Messrs. Smith and Wacldmgton, motor body builders, have decided to suspend trading operations tern porarily, and the entire staff, totalling between 300 and 400, has been paid off. The directors propose to reorganise the trading department. The -result of the trading operations will be explained to the shareholders, when the future of the company will lie decided.
