P. G. Wodehouse's "new book of laughter," published by Herbert Jenkins, is " Meet Mr. Mulliuer."

Major-General Charles Ross is the author of a "thriller" to be published by Murray, entitled " The Castle Fenham Case."

Forthcoming novels from tho house of Cassell include "Vestal Fire," by Compton Mackenzie, and " McTorrobin's Experiment," by Horace Annesley Vachell. A memoir of the nonagenarian Sir James Reckitt, tho Quaker philanthropist, has been written by Major Desmond Chap-man-Huston. It will be published by Faber and Gwyer. A new edition—or selection—of Adam Lindsay Gordon's poems has lately been published by Constable under the title, " Sporting Verse," with a set of coloured illustrations by Lionel Edwards. A forthcoming book from Faber and Gwyer is " Tho Black Book of Edgeworthstown and Other Edgeworth Memories," compiled by a niece and a grandnephew of the famous Maria Edgeworth.

A satirical comedy by Osbert Sitwell and Sacheverell Sitwell entitled " All at Sea," will shortly be issued by Gerald Duckworth. It is described, in the subtitle, as " A social tragedy, in three acts, for first-class passengers only."
