RACECOURSE IMPROVEMENTS [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] ROTORUA, Friday. Much improvement lias been effected io the Rotorua racecourse. The Irack is looking well and should be in good order for the summer meeting. The planting of flowers and ornamental shrubs will add to the attractiveness to the grounds. A meeting of the Radio Club was held last evening. Dr. Paterson presided and among the visitors was Mr. Dunwoodie, supervisor of radio service in Western Samoa. Correspondence was read in connection with a proposal to establish a broadcasting station in Rotorua, Mr. Croken gave a lecturo on the history of wireless short-wave transmission and explained some of the systems and difficulties which arise in connection with the present day transmissions At the invitation of the chairman, Mr. Dunwoodie gave the results of his experience in short-wave transmission between Samoa and New Zealand.
