NEW MATERNITY ANNEXE.

building at te kopuru. GREAT BOON TO DISTRICT. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] DARGAVILLE, Friday. The maternity annexe which the Kaipara Hospital JJoard has erected at Te Kopuru should fill a long felt want in this district. Built of wood, with concrete foundations, the annexe has room for six patients, and the equipment and accommodation leaves nothing to bo desired. Electric lighting has been installed. A large verandah on the road frontage should prove a useful auxiliary. At tho last meeting of tho board instructions were given for a road to be put in from the drive of the main institution. Sister Bell, from tho Otamatea Hospital, has been placed in charge. The building was erected for the board by Mr. E. R. Rope from plans designed by the technical adviser to the Health Department, Mr. E. Allen. Tho annexo will bo put into use immediately. The official opening ceremony will be after tho closo of tho present session of Parliament, and tho Minister of Health, Hon. J. A. Young, will perform the ceremony.
