(Received November 11, - 5.15 • p.m.) A. and "N.Z. " SHANGHAI. Nov. 10. The Chines* pirates who are operating m the Yangtse River gorges have Introduced novelty into th«iir business. Travellers who have arrived at Shanghai, including soma of the passengers liberated by the pirates, owing' to their poverty, describe a human auction mart to which victims are carried off from vessels the pirates, have seized. They are divided into three classes according to 'their wealth and sold to the Ibighest bidder. The latter risks the amount of ransom ho may obtain from the victim he purchases.
