HOARD OF ROMAN COINS.
A remarkable exhibition of Roman coins is to be seen at the little Somerset village of Pill, pear Portishead. Mr. Egerton Goodwin discoVeied at Clapton a great hoard of between four and five thousand Roman coins. These have Tjeoii cleaned and classified and are now in the local church room.
Hardly an/ two of the coins are alike, nnd, though they all belong to thrcio decades, of the third century, no fewer than 15 emperors are represented. That is because they belong chiefly to .the time -of the Thirty Tyrants, -when >th» lugions in the provinces revolted pnd each proclaimed its own Caesar, .
