GIRL GUIDE RALLY.
FINE DISPLAY PROMISED.
Girl Guides, numbering over 1000, will present an elaborate demonstration at the Domain Cricket Ground next Saturday afternoon. A programme of interesting events will be given. The Wiki-tori-a Guide Company will extend a welcomo in true Maori fashion and as this company is comprised of girls from the Victoria College an item of exceptional merit is promised. A distinctly novel event will be the portrayal in pageant form of guiding ideals, drawn from the ancient Greeks, Robin Hood and King Arthur and his. knights. A living trefoil, the Girl Guide emblem, will be formed by 800 girls and a special item will be a gymnastic display by the boys of St. Stephen's College. The brownies, who are junior guides, will also tako part in the welcome and spectacular figure matching by the whole assembly will bo the concluding feature of a very fine Performance , X T „ The chief commissioner for INew Zealand, Mrs. W R. Wilson, will be the guest of honour and will take the salute in the march-past.
