IMPROVEMENTS TO COURSE.

A complete change has been made by the Waikato Trotting Club in the area it haß leased from the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association at Claudelonds. During the lost year the trotting course has been remodelled and has been reduced to six furlongs. The outside bunk at each bend has been raised several feet and experts state that it will make the fastest trotting course in New Zealand. All the buildings havo either been removed or remodelled and several new buildings have been erected. The outside stand and totalisator house have been removed from the south to the north side of the main, stand and in between the stands a stewards' and judges' stand has been erected. Tho small judge's box immediately in front of the finishing post has been removed. The judging in future will be done from the new stand further back.
Thei whole of, the ground neur the approaches and round the stands haß been relovelled nnd grassed, while all the build ings have been repainted New fences have been erected and a hedge has been planted on the west ot windward side of the course The club, which has had a riumber of successful meetings in Auckland, while its course has been under reconstruction has recently spent over £IO.OOO on its grounds The first meeting on the new course will be held on December 3 A special booklet is being printed .to comm'omorate the occasion.
