SUBURBAN ASSOCIATION. WICKETS AT REMUERA GROUND. TIME LIMIT ON BATTING. The Senior Management Committee of the Auckland Suburban Cricket Association met last evening. Mr J. Molloy presided. The offer of the Auckland Hockey Association for the use of wickets at the Remuera, ground for the coming season caused considerable discussion. It was pointed outthai the Hockey Association was prepared to rent 10 wickets at £9O for the season. The secretary, Mr. E. Stallworthy, said a previous offer of £65 had been received for the use of eight wickets. Mr. A. Holiis, chairman of the junior committee, said it was essential that the offer of the wickets should be accepted. ft . was decided to accept the offer. The Auckland City Council advised that cricket wickets on the council's domains for the current season hat' been allotted as follows :—Auckland Cricket Association: Victoria Park, 5; Domain, 11; Grey Lynn, 2; total, 18. Suburbar Association: Victoria Park, 6; Domain. 9: Groy Lynn. 2; total. 17. Mr. Stallworthy said the arrangements were very satisfactory. It was agreed that all matches should be limited to one day, and some discussion arose over the time allowed for batting for each side. Mr. Stallworthy stated in his report that it was intended to speed up and make all matches as bright as possible. It was eventually decided to start all games at 2 o'clock and to cease play at 7.15. The team taking second strike shall not have less than 2i hours to complete its inning 3. Any loss of time shall be recorded against the offending side. In reference to the second innings, it was decided to make the closing time optional, and no restrictions shall be imposed. The draw for Saturday's matches is as follows: Senior A Grade.—Ponsonby v. Following 'are the results of matches played between teams representing the Green Lane and Public Works Department cricket clubs. Second Grade.—Green Lane: First innings, 73 (T. Clarke 10, Singe 17, F. Clarke 12, Leach 21). McKenna took seven wickets for 30. Weaver two for 30, Crowther one for 11. Public Works: First innings, 29. For Green Lane Kilgotir took eight wickets for 21. Singe six for 8. Third Grade.—Green Lane: First innings. I'll (Dillon 35, Saunders ' 10, Phillips 12). Public Works: First innings, 52 (Hoyte 13, Carr 18, Linch 13). For Green Lane Saunders took one wicket for 23, Hockonhull one for 13. Harford seven for 9. Drake one for 5. Harford performed the hat trick.

Hifrh School visited Korakonui, and in the first innings the home team compiled 'l3 High School was dismissed for 32. The visitors followed on and had passed _ Korakonui's total for the loss of five wickets when stumps were drawn. Korakonui won on the first innings. On the Te Awamutu ground Te Kawa was! defeated by Te Awamutu on the first innings by 158 runs to 88. For Te Kawa the chief • cores were 11. Smart, 53 (including six sixes), and R. Ashton, 12. In the Northern Wairoa Cricket Association championship competition on Saturday, Southern, 94, beat Dargaville, 81, and Pukehuia A, 114, beat Pukehuia B, 110. All four teems are now level in championship points. WAITOA DEFEATS MORRINSVILLE. [By TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.J WAITOA. Monday. In a cricket match on Saturday Waitoa easily defeated Morrinsville by five wickets and 77 runs. For Waitoa, Cooper 43, Garner 47, and Moore were top-scorers. Waitoa's score totalled 155 for five wickets. Morrinsville were dismissed for 78. GAMES AT THAMES. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] THAMES, Monday. In the Thames Cricket Association's competitions on Saturday Tararu, 90 runs, defeated City, by four runs on the first innings and High School, 57 and 61, defeated Ramblers, 22 and 48.
